Night & Limited Visibility

Some marine creatures are not visible during the day because they are nocturnal, so it is important to learn the proper techniques to dive comfortably and safely after dark. You will learn how to use specialized equipment, communicate correctly under limited visibility, and follow the rules of night diving.

Prerequisite: OWD or Junior OWD certification

The course includes one daytime dive and one night dive, as well as training in the use of dive lights.

Complete your registration in the SSI training system according to the instructions below.

  1. Scan this QR code or register on the divessi.com website. Complete the registration process and make sure to provide an active email address.
  2. You will receive a confirmation email from SSI—once that’s done, your registration is complete.
  3. The easiest way to access your profile is through the MySSI app, which you can download for both IOS and Android. Fill in your details and upload a photo that will also appear on your certification card. Be sure to read the photo requirements.
  4. All your data, information, learning materials, dive logs, and certification card will be available here. Take some time to explore the features of the app.
